Judges halt legendary whistleblower's lawsuit, saying he filed too late

Federal appellate judges ruled today that a veteran U.S. EPA official's whistleblower retaliation suit cannot go forward because he took too long to file it. The case before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit was brought by Hugh Kaufman, the former chief investigator of EPA's now-defunct ombudsman's office from 1998 to 2000.
