EPA's claim of rule's 'co-benefits' draws industry fire

U.S. EPA is estimating that its long-awaited rule for reducing carbon dioxide emissions from power plants will also substantially reduce conventional pollutants. The agency predicts decreases in the pollutants behind soot and smog, including sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and particulate matter.
