Western Sahara dispute threatens solar projects

A $9 billion solar project in Morocco is struggling to attract international lenders because of a long-standing geopolitical dispute. Morocco wants to build solar plants and wind farms to generate 4 gigawatts of power by 2020, but the country plans to build most of the facilities in neighboring Western Sahara -- which Morocco has occupied since 1975.
