Industry set to tout 20% job growth as state incentive battle intensifies

Employment in the U.S. solar industry jumped 20 percent in 2013, adding almost 24,000 jobs from the previous year, according to a report released today from the Solar Foundation, a research and education nonprofit group. The 142,000 total jobs in the solar industry were distributed throughout the United States, something that is unusual compared with other growth industries usually found in one geographic location, Lyndon Rive, the CEO of SolarCity Corp., said on a teleconference call about the report.
