Boeing teams with Etihad, Total to develop plant-based aviation fuels

Aircraft maker Boeing Co., Etihad Airways and oil company Total SA announced plans tondevelop a United Arab Emirates-based aviation biofuels industry.nIn a statement yesterday, Boeing said it would conduct research and development and invest innfuel production for the project. Etihad conducted a 45-minute demonstration flight over thenweekend that was, in part, powered by UAE-produced aviation biofuel.
