Legendary whistleblower asks judges to reconsider his case

A veteran U.S. EPA official has asked a federal appeals court to reconsider its decision to halt his whistleblowing retaliation lawsuit against the agency. Hugh Kaufman, the former chief investigator of EPA's now-defunct ombudsman's office from 1998 to 2000, asked the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit earlier this week to rehear his case.
