A Canada goose will spend Mother's Day recovering from serious burns sustained as she tried to protect her eggs after cigarette butts started a nest fire in Castalia, Ohio. Stopping by the office after church with his daughter, Erie Soil and Water Conservation District wildlife specialist Tim White found the mother goose refusing to leave her smoldering nest.
