Outraged lawmakers call out Christie in legislation over Exxon settlement

New Jersey lawmakers are calling on Gov. Chris Christie (R) to back out of a settlement reached with Exxon Mobil Corp. last week that has been sharply criticized by environmental groups and many in the Democrat-controlled Legislature. While acknowledging it's unlikely to influence Christie, all three Democrats and a Republican on the state Senate's environmental committee advanced a resolution aimed at quashing the deal with the oil giant. Another Republican abstained.
