Composer James Horner dies in Los Padres plane crash

Oscar-winning composer James Horner, who wrote the musical scores for some of the world's most successful films, including "Avatar" and "Titanic," died when the small plane he was piloting crashed in a Los Angeles-area national forest, his agents confirmed yesterday. Horner, 61, was killed in the crash in a remote part of the Los Padres National Forest, agents Michael Gorfaine and Sam Schwartz said.
