Group sues S.C. water plant over sewage discharges

A South Carolina environmental group is suing a Columbia, S.C.-area wastewater plant over accusations of polluting the Saluda River. Congaree Riverkeeper filed a federal lawsuit yesterday saying the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control and U.S. EPA aren't enforcing pollution control laws for the Carolina Water Service plant.
