Former Calif. PUC head had private conversations with another company

California's second-largest utility company has admitted to having improperly communicated with former state Public Utilities Commission President Michael Peevey as the scandal between the commission and private companies spreads. Southern California Edison Co.'s then-Vice President Stephen Pickett was at an event in Warsaw, Poland, in 2013, when Peevey met with him privately and discussed the San Onofre nuclear plant near San Clemente, Calif. Peevey inquired about efforts to reboot the nuclear plant, which had closed after a radiation leak.
