Millions at risk from river pollution - U.N.

The United Nations has warned that 323 million people across the globe are susceptible to lifethreatening illnesses due to large-scale pollution of water bodies. The global organization says fatal pathogens such as cholera and typhoid are on the rise in over half the rivers in Asia, Latin America and Africa. Levels of salinity also have increased.
