BLM overhauls measurement rules, OKs automatic tank gauging

The Bureau of Land Management announced today that it's finalized the first overhaul of its rulebook for measuring oil and gas extracted from federal lands. The changes to the 26-year-old rules are a response to years of criticism from auditors that the federal government hasn't been getting what it's owed from oil companies.
