Former Wisconsin Democratic Sen. Russ Feingold is getting a last-minute boost in his bid to return to Capitol Hill as the League of Conservation Voters Victory Fund teams up with a Democratic political action committee looking to oust incumbent Republican Sen. Ron Johnson. The LCV Victory Fund and the Senate Majority PAC yesterday announced a $2 million joint partnership targeting the Wisconsin Senate contest. The environmental group will pump $600,000 into a trio of new television and digital spots that criticize Johnson over his statements rejecting climate science and the idea that human activity contributes to global warming.
