Okla. tribes team up to save monarch butterfly

Seven tribes in Oklahoma said they will designate habitat and plant food on their lands for monarch butterflies, a species whose numbers have dwindled in recent years because of troubles along their winter migration route. Tribal leaders said yesterday that they will plant vegetation for butterflies, including milkweed and nectar-producing plants, in a bid to help the struggling species survive.
