BP ends London art gallery sponsorship after protests

BP PLC announced it will end its 26-year sponsorship of a major British art gallery next year, citing an "extremely challenging business environment" as the reason, not years of climate activist protests. Last summer, activists spent 25 hours drawing messages about climate change on the floor of Tate Modern's Turbine Hall.
