摘要

Officials have recovered about 40 percent of the more than 1,500 barrels of oil that spilled into a Canadian river since Thursday, when a pipeline in the North Saskatchewan River broke. Despite the progress, oil is still flowing downstream and endangering water supplies for riverside communities, according to authorities. The spill comes from Husky Energy Inc.'s Saskatchewan Gathering System pipelines. Husky said it has completed cleanup at the leak site, but one bird has died and three were "impacted" by the oil spill.
