U.S. Olympic athletes show signs of mosquito-borne diseases

The U.S. Olympians who traveled to Brazil for the 2016 games at the peak of the Zika virus outbreak did not catch the virus. They did, however, come home with antibodies to other mosquito-borne illnesses. Researchers with the University of Utah and the U.S. Olympic Committee took blood samples from 457 athletes and staff members before and after their Olympic travels to Rio de Janeiro.
