Ford Motor Co. will offer free repairs to North American owners of over 1.4 million Explorer SUVs over concernsrnthat carbon monoxide and other exhaust gases may be getting inside.rnSeveral police agencies have raised concerns that carbon monoxide and other gases could be entering therncabins of Ford Explorers modified for law enforcement. Federal regulators said there have been more than 2,700rncomplaints about exhaust odors. They know of three crashes and 41 injuries that could be related to carbonrnmonoxide exposure in 2011-17 Explorer vehicles.
