Forecasters are predicting high river flows in California thanks to the massive Sierra Nevada snowpack that followed the wettest winter in Northern California's history. State officials finished the final snowpack survey of the season this week. The California Nevada River Forecast Center, which is run by the federal government, said the undammed Merced River could rise above flood stage this week. The flooding could cause "nuisance" impacts through the Yosemite Valley.
