Some U.S. EPA employees received a strange email yesterday announcing plans to block social media sites for agency staff. But it was fake. Jeff Lagda, an EPA Office of Inspector General spokesman, told E&E News that IG office staff were told in a later email yesterday from their information technology team that the message sent from an email address outside of EPA �� HumanResources@mail.webproxysecurity.com �� was identified as a phishing attempt to gather information on EPA staff.
