EPA bars reporters from summit on politically toxic chemicals

EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt this morning announced a series of concrete steps to address health concems associated with a class of nonstick chemicals at an event marred by mishandling of the press. Dubbed the National Leadership Summit on Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances, or PFAS, the event at EPA headquarters included representatives from states, tribes, federal agencies, congressional offices, industry and public health groups.
