New cuckoo bee species found hidden in museums

Sometimes, species are hiding in plain sight.rnScientists have discovered 15 new species of cuckoo bees tucked away in American and Canadian museum collections and institutions.rnWhen the bees were added to the museum collections, they were labeled with their genus, Epeolus, but not with a species. And it turns out they're cuckoos, according to a study published last week in the journal ZooKeys.rnCuckoo bees lay eggs in other bees' nests, then the baby cuckoos kill the other larva and take the pollen.
