Court upholds EPA decision to list mining district

Federal judges have dismissed a company's lawsuit challenging U.S. EPA's decision to place the Colorado mining district that contains the Gold King abandoned mine on a list of the nation's most hazardous sites. The three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit today ruled that U.S. EPA adequately scored the site under its hazard ranking system.
