Vice President Mike Pence will visit Wheeling, W.Va., for a fundraiser with Republican Senate candidate Patrick Morrisey, the state attorney general. The event is sponsored by Bob Murray, president and CEO of Murray Energy Corp., according to Ohio County Republican Party Chairwoman Elgine McArdle. Murray has had President Trump's ear on energy since early in the administration, and Morrisey was a main part of the lawsuit that stayed the Clean Power Plan in the Supreme Court. Morrisey is a top Republican priority these midterms against vulnerable incumbent Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin. Trump won the Mountain State by 40 points in 2016.
