A political action committee led by a former California Democratic congressman has launched ads criticizing Rep. Tom McClintock (R-Calif.) over wildfire spending. The ad campaign costs at least $175,000.rnMcClintock has opposed legislation that included wildfire-related funding. He supports decreasing wildfire risk by paring back the environmental review process that must be completed before the overgrown brush and trees that help fuel wildfires can be removed.
