Wildfire bill that sparked utility cost fears moves forward

Two California state bills addressing wildfires started by power lines advanced in the dtate Senate yesterday,but one will undergo significant changes after it worried consumer groups and solar power advocates. One bill, S.B. 901,would require utility companies to create plans for pre-emptively shutting off electrical lines before windstorms.
