Dozens of veterans of the environmental movement are pleading with environment-focused voters to back Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden over the Green Party.Amid concern that Green Party candidate Howie Hawkins could be a "spoiler" and take votes from Democrats - and reports, including from the Associated Press, that the GOP is helping the Greens - the environmentalists are trying to convince voters that favoring Hawkins would be a mistake. "Angry right-wing voters and liberal absentees put Trump in the White House in 2016. In 2020 the same unholy team could keep him there," the environmentalists wrote this week in the letter, first reported by the Daily Beast.
