EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler today accused a California air regulator of negotiating in bad faith over therollback of clean car standards.In a letter to top Republicans on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, the EPA chief lashed out atCalifornia Air Resources Board Chairwoman Mary Nichols."I believe it is important for the members of the subcommittees to understand that when Ms. Nichols states thatshe offered a counterproposal to the proposed rule as if she operated as a good faith actor in this rulemaking,that is what is false," Wheeler wrote in the letter to Reps. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.) and John Shimkus(R-Ill.).
