Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao told a conservative audience today that theTrump administration won't force consumers to embrace electric vehicles."The whole issue about EVs, electric vehicles, we're not going to command thatconsumers have to address them," Chao said at the Conservative Political ActionConference in suburban Washington, D.C."We really think that the free market works, the private sector works, and we need to letthe consumer decide," she added.
