A zaftig bear named Holly crushed the competition yesterday as Fat Bear Week came to a close at Katmai National Park & Preserve in southern Alaska.The park's fifth annual contest included 12 brown bears vying to be crowned the fattest. Park favorite 435 Holly defeated 775 Lefty in the final round by a wide margin to take home the crown."We are celebrating how hard these bears worked to put fat on to survive hibernation," said Brooklyn White, Katmai Conservancy's media ranger.
