The Outdoor Industry Association today warned that an escalating trade war with China could be a "devastatingblow" to its recreation-centric retailers.In a letter to President Trump, the industry group urged the administration to finalize trade negotiations and rollback recent tariff increases on Chinese imports including backpacks, sport bags, ski gloves, kayaks, bikes,camping chairs and camp stoves."On behalf of the outdoor recreation industry, we write to express our concern with the increase of existingpunitive tariffs from 10 to 25 percent on certain products sourced from China and the proposal to establish suchtariffs on all other imports from China, including key products for the outdoor recreation economy," OIA ExecutiveDirector Amy Roberts wrote in the letter.
