KATOWICE, Poland - The fossil fuels sideshow the United States put on here today for an audience of largely resentful climate talk participants looked much like the one It hosted last year.It featured a White House political operative singing the praises of fossil fuels to a room full of climate change advocates, many of whom prefer hefty reliance on renewables. It was again the hottest ticket In town - or at least the conference center's so-called Green Zone, where such events are held. There wasn't an empty seat until a few minutes Into the host's opening remarks when most of the audience stood up chanting and waving banners and then filed out of the room.
