Lights off, lights on for National Christmas Tree

The National Christmas Tree will continue to twinkle through New Year's Day, after the National Park Foundation stepped up to turn the lights back on during the partial government shutdown. The 74,000 LED chips that illuminate the living Colorado blue spruce went dark Friday, after an unidentified man climbed more than 15 feet up the tree and the National Park Service closed the site to check for damage.
