The Bureau of Land Management has released the draft analysis of a proposed leasing zone for solar power projects In southern Nevada that It says would help promote utility power development.BLM's draft environmental assessment (EA) evaluates the Impacts of commercial-scale solar power development In a region considered to have some of the best solar resources in the country.The proposed Dry Lake East Designated Leasing Area (DLA) would cover 1,800 acres about 10 miles northeast of Las Vegas in a region where the solar power industry has developed large-scale projects.
