The dramatic changes which we are experiencing in the power supply sector, and the manufacturing industry serving it, aim at strengthening market forces, deregulation of power supply and the globalisation of the power plant market have resulted in increased international cooperation on a broad scale. Advanced technologies are spreading more rapidly, and so are technical and environmental standards.
