This book was published recently. Its necessity became especially evident during the last decade as the clear recognition that the deep-seated geodynamic phenomena occurring in the mantle are responsible for the tectonic processes within the continental crust was entering into the wide practice of geological studies. The authors included into this fundamental book virtually all fields of geology of diamond-bearing provinces throughout the world and their relations to magmatism.
