Geotectonics and Geodynamics at the 33rd Session of the International Geological Congress, Oslo, Norway: A Review

摘要

The 33rd Session of the International Geological Congress (IGC) was held August 6-14, 2008 in Oslo, Norway. The Organizing Committee included representatives of the Nordic countries: Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Iceland. Arne Bjorlykke was President of the 33rd IGC and Anders Solheim was Secretary General. His Majesty the King of Norway, Harald V participated in the opening ceremony. The IGC had previously been held in the Nordic countries in 1910 (Stockholm) and 1960 (Copenhagen).
