Empirical Function Representing the Shear Strength of Unsaturated Soils

摘要

The general research situation of the shear strength of the unsaturated soils is reviewed in the paper. The hyperbola model is put forward based on the triaxial test results of the unsatu- rated soils. It can be used to predict the suction strength. The pre- dicted results compare well with the measured data and show that the hyperbola model can be used to represent the shear strength of unsaturated soils.
