Reg Golledge was a geographer of the highest international standing - possibly the most famous Australia has produced in the post-war era. Widely credited as bring a founder of analytical behavioural geography, he contributed significant innovations to research into spatial cognition, and cognitive mapping, individual decision-making, the acquisition of spatial knowledge across the life span, way-finding and roure selection, theories of spatial learning, daily activity patterns, spatial choice models, and disaggregate transport modeling. His publications from 1962 to 2009 include 16 scholarly books, more than 120 book chapters, and 140 papers in leading academic journals.
