This book is a major theoretical analysis of the concept of multifunctional agriculture (if not multifunctionality in general). At 374 very solid pages, it represents something of a magnum opus for its author, Geoff Wilson. Now professor of human geography at the University of Plymouth (UK), Wilson has experience in Australia, New Zealand, and several European countries, especially Germany. Wilson has authored and edited several other books, mostly on agri-environmental policy and environmental management. There is a long list of significant figures in geography in Australia and internationally who have been acknowledged for their contribution to this book and/or with whom Wilson has collaborated.
