摘要

On 12 September 2001 a mid-sized newspaper in Allentown, Pennsylvania, The Morning Call, published a photo that has since become known as 'The Falling Man'. Framed against a backdrop of the windows on the Northern Tower of the World Trade Centre, a figure, seemingly in quiet repose, is pictured upside down, one knee is loosely bent, the other leg straight. In the subsequent documentary, the quietness of the image of the falling man was commented on extensively by the paper's editorial team.
