Geographies of Ageing is concerned with patterns and causes of spatial variability in population ageing. The authors interpret population geography as concerned with 'spatial manifestations of demographic trends'. They advocate a broad approach to spatial differences in population ageing incorporating various aspects of social theory in recognition of the great range of factors operating. The book is part of Ashgate's series International Population Studies - consisting of books that are international in scope and 'founded on social science analysis of hard demographic facts'.
