Reactive filtration of exhaust air in wastewater treatment plants

For health reasons, hydrogen sulfide (H_2S) that occurs in wastewater treatment has to be removed from exhaust air [1]. The problem of the currently used bio-filter is its huge volume. As a result, difficult handling is required that leads to enormous costs for the operator [2]. Furthermore, performance monitoring of exhaust air filters is not employed at the moment.
