Fortschritte in der Galvanotechnik Eine Auswertung der internationalen Fachliteratur 1996/97

Es werden 1004 Literaturstellen aus 57 internationalen Fachzeitschriften ausgewertet. Davon befassen sich 22 Zeitschriften speziell mit Oberflächentechniken, während in den übrigen vorwiegend sonstige technische Themen behandelt werden. Bemerkenswert ist die Tatsache, daß die Oberflächentechnik zunehmend als Möglichkeit gesehen wird, die Wertschöpfung eines Produktes zu steigern. Damit wird erkannt, daß die Oberfläche eines der wichtigsten Funktionselemente jeder Konstruktion darstellt. Wie in den vergangenen Jahren überwiegt auch im betrachteten Zeitraum die Zahl der Arbeiten aus dem Bereich Umwelttechnik alle anderen Gebiete. Dabei fällt auf, daß die Umwelttechnik zunehmend als integrierte Technik verstanden wird.%1004 publications in the literature which appeared in 57 international Metal Finishing and related journals were scrutinised. Of these, 22 journals are specific to Surface Engineering or Finishing, whereas the remainder are titles primarily concerned with other technologies. Well worth noting is the observation that Surface Engineering is increasingly perceived as a means of adding value to a product. This is an implicit recognition of the fact that the surface finish of a component is one of the most important functional aspects embodied by it. As has been noted in previous years, the number of publications related to environmental issues exceeds that dealing with any other topic. From this it follows that environmental engineering and technology are increasingly seen as integral parts of the overall finishing process.
