ROCA GALLERY LONDON DISPLAYS AWARDS' MODEL WINNERS

Models of some of the buildings in last year's European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture Mies van der Rohe Award 2011 are on display at the new London Gallery showroom of bathroom company Roca until the end of this month. Until 27 January, the facility at London's Chelsea harbour, which was designed by Zaha Hadid Architects and featured in FX last month, will display architectural models including that of the winner, the Neues Museum in Berlin. The museum reopened in 2009 after renovation by David Chipperfield Architects. The five other finalists, including the Bronks Youth Theatre in Brussels, by Martine De Maeseneer, and Zaha Hadid's own MAXXI Museum of XXI Century Arts in Rome, are also on show, alongside the winner of the Emerging Architect Special Mention award, which went to Collage House in Girona, by Ramon Bosch.
