KPF GO LARGE FOR FIT-OUT OF 25,000 SQ M OF LONDON HQ OFFICES

Architecture firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF) has completed the fit-out of the European headquarters of asset management company BlackRock in the City of London. The 25,000 sq m office at Drapers Gardens is the practice's first large-scale interiors project in the UK and is one of the largest fit-out to be completed in London in the past two years, says the practice. KPF's design provides a variety of informal work areas and breakout spaces aimed at facilitating collaborative working and creative thinking. Informal dining and meeting areas on each of the 13 floors are equipped with interactive touch-screen monitors and seating around whiteboard tabletops (pictured above), providing further informal spaces in which teams can communicate.
