A constrained Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy system that allows for better interpretation and analysis

In this paper, we present a modification of the Generalized Takagi-Sugeno (GTS) model (Fiordaliso, Proc. EUFIT96 Conf., vol. 1 1996; pp. 581-586). The key idea is to constrain the conclusions of each rule to perform a convex combination Of the input patterns. This constraint allows to interpret each rule as an input patterns mixer and therefore contributes to a Better understanding of the fuzzy system inference. We illustrate the functioning of the constrained system which is next Applied for purposes of combining forecasts.
