On equivalence of approximate reasoning results using different interpretations of fuzzy if-then rules

Initially an axiomatic approach to the definition of fuzzy implication has been recalled in this paper. Based on this definition several important fuzzy implications have been investigated with respect to the results obtained from infer- ence system. A specific type of equivalence of inference results under defuzzification using both logical implication interpretation and conjunctive interpretation of the fuzzy if-then rules has been described. The theoretical considerations are illustrated by means of numerical examples in the field of fuzzy modeling.
