A complete axiomatization of fuzzy functional dependencies using fuzzy function

摘要

The notion of functional dependency in classical relational databases corresponds to a partial function. Therefore, it appears natural that the notion of fuzzy functional dependency should correspond to the notion of partial fuzzy function. Following this approach, we introduce the notion of fuzzy functional dependency in fuzzy relational databases and show that the classical inference rules for functional dependencies form a sound and complete formal system in our case.
